SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
sIMULATION eNVIRONMENT
To maximize the impact of this course on your learning, you will need to create a simulation environment with these components:
- Computer
- Simulation hardware
- Simulation engine
1. cOMPUTER
Our software is very “light” and does not require a powerful computer. You can read the briefings and watch the videos on just about any platform or device that has an internet connection.
2. sIMULATION hARDWARE
While you can fly most of the missions with a joystick, you should invest in at least a yoke and a set of rudder pedals to maximize the learning process.
There are a multitude of options depending on your budget.
The least expensive and most common are CH Products and Logitech .
We recommend the Precision Flight Controls and VirtualFly simulation hardware for their realism and durability, especially for schools.
Contact us for more information or to order a custom solution.
If you are using the VR version of the course, you will need a Virtual Reality Head-Mounted Display (HMD).
Prepar3D® currently supports both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.
Because that technology changes so fast, it is a matter of price and preference as to which HMD to choose.
3. sIMULATION ENGINE
If you already have Lockheed-Martin Prepar3D® Version 4 (P3D v4) installed on your computer, you are set. We use the current P3D (v4.5) version and may update some of the missions as better tools are added. You may want to update P3D at some point but it will not be necessary in the short to medium term.
If you do not, you will need Lockheed-Martin Prepar3D® to do the flight portion of the course.
REFUND POLICY
Our refund policy is simple:
If, within 15 days from the date of purchase, you do not feel that you will at least recuperate the cost of your investment in this course, let us know and we will refund your money.
